“When baking becomes a lesson in inclusion”

It all started in a ULIS class at an Alsatian college.
During a pastry workshop, students with disabilities hit a wall: incomprehensible measurements, overly complex steps, and shared frustration. But quickly, this difficulty gave rise to a brilliant and generous idea:

👉 What if we created a truly accessible recipe book?
👉 For everyone. Without exception.

With the help of their specialist teacher Anne-Karin and their AESH Julien, these extraordinary young people got started. Simplified measurements, clear illustrations, adapted steps – each page has been designed to make cooking a universal pleasure.

After many weeks of intense work, sleepless nights, research... the first book accessible to all was born, HOPLA CHEF .

Their book shook the walls of the Council of Europe.

Presented to experts and hailed at the University of Strasbourg as a " model of inclusive innovation ," this little gem has become the symbol of a much greater evolution: that of the way we look at disability.

Transported to Paris, the children and the instigators of this project had the immense honor of winning the first National Prize of the APAJH Trophies . Welcomed by the Minister of National Education and congratulated by Jean-Louis Garcia, president of the APAJH Foundation , they experienced months of intense emotions, worthy of the most beautiful epics.

Faced with the enthusiasm, a handful of parents, teachers and AESH decided to take it to the next level.

The Collectif Ensemble association was born.

The goal was to allow a wide audience to discover their book. However, after a few months, demand literally exploded internationally, and the association encountered difficulties in managing this influx.

With over 2,500 sales under their belt, they made the well-considered decision to close this project and embark on other promising initiatives with the association.

Today, Collectif Ensemble embodies a diversity of more than ten solidarity projects , bringing together young people with disabilities, children and elderly people who have taken part in these multiple initiatives.

Thanks to your valuable support, the association will be able to continue to implement numerous innovative projects, always guided by a desire for inclusion and transformation of perceptions of disability.
